Metropolitan Garden Design often starts our projects with a design consultation. We’ll ask for photos and schedule a short call to discuss next steps. After discussing the vision for the garden, we will come onsite to take measurements and photos. Soon after we will send over a proposal and design for your custom garden space whether it be a rooftop, terrace, or backyard.

Once plans are approved, we’ll get materials ordered and get the project rolling. Containers, drip irrigation and landscape lighting will often be installed before planting. Once ready to plant, we’ll head out to our landscape trade nursery in Long Island to pick up your plants. A good landscape company will hand select plant to ensure that the best ones are chosen.

Plants will then be driven back to NYC for planting the next day. Metropolitan Garden Design will always protect your home when delivering plant and leave your space clean on completion. Once the garden is planted, the irrigation and lighting system will be placed inside of pots and planters as needed. The unwanted materials will be safely hauled away and disposed of.
